Adamastor is a mythological character created by the 16th century Portuguese poet Luís de Camões, as a personification of the Cape of Good Hope. He symbolises the dangers of the sea and the formidable forces of nature challenged and ultimately overcome by the Portuguese during the Age of Discovery.
Hand made in Portugal, this pop up card comes complete with an elegant envelope, which pictures a mermaid!
