I don't recall ever purchasing a product that does not live up to its description whatsoever. I purchased this as a gift for my nephew 's 09th birthday - the final product once constructed did not function as suggetsed either on the website, merchandise video or as described on the packaging. Sadly, a very misleading and disappointing gift.

I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed with this item. The Hyperscope is designed by Terry Pope, who is one of the leading experts in the world on this subject, and it is manufactured by Middlesex University. We have sold this item for many years, and it is incredibly rare for anyone to have a problem.
It does need to be constructed properly, and it will not work if the user does not have full stereoscopic vision. I can assure you that provided these two conditions are met, the Hyperscope works extremely well.
Terry has also designed professional versions of the Hyperscope, which can be found in universities, museums and galleries around the world.
I totally refute your statement that we are making misleading claims. Had you contacted us, we might have been able to give some advice. if several people have tried the Hyperscope, and none of them can see the effect, then it may be an issue with the assembly. Nevertheless I have refunded your money.

Very cool product. A really neat way to investigate how the brain adjusts and processes visual information.

I can now fulfil my dream of living as an antelope and take to the hills safe in the knowledge that with my extra wide field of view I stand a much greater chance of spotting any potential predators. Thanks Grand Illusions, you're the best!

Excellent science gadget for viewing 3D stereo photographs.

The various plastic parts go together precisely and the instrument is easy to hold and use even if you wear glasses. The instructions supplied are not for the version with glass mirrors. Once I had found some new sticky pads I could mount the mirrors the correct way round and the instrument worked well !

Cutouts too small. Needs unnecessary extra work.

The hyperscope has an effect that is much more drastic than the pseudoscope but not as awesome. That being said they are both very fun and will be a great exploration for my Engineering and Science Society which I sponsor at my high school.

I bought this for my father's 85th birthday, which we celebrated 10/17/15. I had been excited about this toy for almost six months. I hyped it to no end from what I had been led to believe how people appear to shrink rapidly when they walk away, etc.. However, after my nephew and I put it together and my father tried it, I knew something was wrong. Everyone who tried it tried to be polite, but I could tell that they didn't think it was anything special. People sure didn't shrink rapidly wh.

Good quality gadget, the optical effect not so exiting but very interesting and useful for whom wants to learn about optics, eye vision or art:).

It was fun while it lasted.
One of the big mirrors broke during the first hour of using it. It fell about 30cm onto a concrete floor.
