Came with one of the mirrors broken. I was able to assemble it anyway and was still able to see clearly even with the broken mirror, but the illusion doesn't work. Tried to look at the toy and various other objects and they looked no different than if I was using my normal eyes no matter what distance I looked at. To top it off, even the toy came broken.

I am sending you a replacement item free of charge. I would have sent it sooner, if you had mentioned that one of the mirrors was broken.

As our web site says, the pseudoscopic image can be hard to see initially, and some people never see it. Maybe try the device on a few friends and see if they can see it?

Relatively simple to build. A bit of flexing needed sometimes to get the pseudoscopic effect, but when it happens it is stunning. There is no vocabulary to adequately describe what you see. Seems to work best outside.

Interesting, still Work In Progress to get the best benefit.

PS.: Incidentally, I've had to have the original live lenses in all three of my eyes replaced with plastic cyborg ones, and I had them set for close-up work, like painting miniature portraits on slices of ivory. I don't know if this helps -- thanks, BD'A.

Part of directions were to peel paper off acrylic parts. No paper, parts were scratched, makes me think it was a return resold. The pseudoscope's optical effect was not as pronounced as I had hoped. It has a very specific focal range of about 16feet.

I didnt test it yet because I want to do it together with my niece at christmas. However the item arrived on time and matches my expectations.
