Very heavy and high quality in a small package, about the size of a golf ball. I find it hard to keep it on a table, so I roll it on my hardwood floor or roll it in a dinner plate on the table. The ball has a wide repertoire of moves and is fascinating to watch. It's sturdy, since the first few times I rolled it on the table, it fell off onto our hardwood floor and was unscathed. I know there must be a seam where the two halves connect, but it is so well done it's almost impossible to see.
