The design is very ingenious, but correct assembly would be a little easier if the instructions were more precise, particularly with the mounting of the black strip to the relevant flaps, and the positioning of the diffraction grating. Since the grating supplied is rectangular it would be easy to state the orientation required to have the lines parallel with the light-slot, rather than leaving it to trial and error. However, overall it is a very impressive instrument for the price.
