Taijin Takeuchi is a 'stop motion' artist who lives in Japan. Born in 1984, he studied visual communication design at the Kyushu Institute of Design, and subsequently studied imaging art and sciences at Musashino Art University. He describes himself as 'living in Tokyo and looking for job offers.'
Traditional 2D and also 3D animation are both done using stop motion, i.e you shoot a frame and then make a small change, and then shoot another frame, and so on. It takes a long time, and a lot of painstaking work, but the final result is a film that appears to have fluid motion.
This short film is both ingenious and charming. He has shot a large number of still images out on location, and then he has created an animation in his apartment, using these images.
