The Russian Space Pen and the Three Mile Pencil! Two joke items. The Russian Space Pen was supposed to the the Russians' answer to the NASA project to create a pen that would write in zero gravity, and was supposed to have cost over a million dollars. The Russians merely sent their astronauts into space with a pencil! (In fact we suspect this to be an urban myth, since a pencil is likely to leave small pieces of graphite floating around the space ship. Graphite is a conductor of electricity, and it could cause a short circuit if it got into the electronic circuitry.)The Three Mile Pencil is graduated in both miles and words, being capable of writing for over 3 miles, or over 45,000 words. Enough to draw around a tennis court 70 times. In fact the complete works of Shakespeare could be written with just 22 pencils. It is certainly one way of keeping track of your productivity! You get one of each pencil. Ask a question about: Two PencilsPeople who bought this item also bought:
