Customer Reviews

A great introduction to early photographic methods  Blueprints (also called cyanotypes) have been around since 1842. You can use photoshop to make a negative of an image, print it on acetate and then tape a piece of this paper to it and expose it in the sun for a few minutes. Develop as usual, but add a splash of hydrogen peroxide and watch the blue darken to deep navy. A facinating process that actually creates the permanent dye prussian blue.   Keith Anderson

it's magic!  So simple ! You need to play around to avoid over or under exposure but great fun.

Sun Print Paper

Light-sensitive paper which produces pretty white-on-blue images without any need for chemicals or equipment. Simply place an object on the paper, expose to bright sunlight and after a few minutes soak in tap water to fix. Ten A5 sheets per pack.

We took our picture on a really overcast day. Bright sunlight would give a better result.

A5 sheets are 21cm long.

We are sometimes asked about the chemical process that occurs in Sun Print Paper, and would suggest that you have a look at the Blueprinting page on the Creative Chemistry website.
