This miniature power station runs using a tiny cube of solid fuel. This heats the water until it boils, which runs the tiny steam engine. This powers the dynamo, via a flywheel, and lights the LED bulb.

The power station comes ready assembled in a smart box made of clear plastic. A small number of cubes of solid fuel are included.

The dimensions are 10.5cm x 2.5cm x 7cm so this is definitely a small power station! The boiler is a Duran glass flask which holds about 5cc of water. Ideally this should be distilled water, or at least soft water. It will run for about 5 minutes with a single flask of water, and one cube of fuel.
