An understanding of how movement can be created, using a modern viewer and images by Leonardo and Edweard Muybridge. So in like manner if you wave a lighted brand (branch) its whole course will seem a ring of a flame... Leonardo da VinciIn many places, Leonardo hints at phenomena and principles that we can associate with the much later development of optical devices, and untimately the cinema. The Leonardo 'movie viewer' is a modern version of a tachyscope with an electrically driven wheel and a flashing LED to light up the images. There are several short 'movies' for you to see, one showing a horse and rider - a sequence of photographs taken by Edweard Muybridge over 150 years ago, and two sequences showing what Leonardo might have seen in his imagination 500 years ago! There is also a blank disc, to allow you to create your own animated sequence. This educational kit was developed by Middlesex University in partnership with the Victoria and Albert Museum. It was designed to accompany the exhibition: Leonardo da Vinci: Experience, Experiment and Design. The kit comes with everything you need to build the 'movie viewer'. However you will need to supply 1 x PP3/9V battery, and 1 x AA battery. The kit comes in a smart presentation pack, and would make an unusual educational gift.Write a review about: Leonardo Moving Picture Show KitAsk a question about: Leonardo Moving Picture Show KitPeople who bought this item also bought:
