This cardboard assembly kit enables you to create a working replica of a 19th century Magic Lantern.

In the days before television and cinema, a Magic Lantern show would have been an amazing experience, and these often reached high levels of sophistication. Ghostly images were projected onto clouds of smoke, multiple lanterns and background sound effects added to the impact, and there were even animated slides, and slides that showed scenes that changed from night to day and back again!

This kit consists of 6 printed and pre-punched cardboard sheets, 3 lenses, bulb, and all the pieces you will need to construct your own Magic Lantern. You will only need to supply glue and 4 AA batteries.

This is a fairly advanced kit, and will take a number of hours to construct.
