110 Volts to 240 Volts converter, for use in North America

Levitating Waters

This is an amazing optical illusion. It is based on a display piece housed in several Science Museums around the world costing many thousands of dollars.

Descending droplets of water appear to defy gravity and just float in mid air. Adjust the controls, and the drops can be made to gently descend, or made to magically rise upwards. Or they can just hover i the air, neither moving up or down. Impossible to describe properly - seeing is believing.

One of the controls, called 'Demo', cycles between the drops floating in mid air, and then first rising and then falling, before they start floating again.

One cool trick is to set the controls so that the drops appear to be moving upwards, and then hold a glass in the water stream. Although the drops are moving upwards, the glass fills with water!

The device needs to be filled with water (ideally distilled water) and connected to the mains. Then all you have to do is switch it on! It works due to a series of strobe lights hidden within the box, which make the drops appear to float in the air.

The box is 54cm high. It comes fitted with a UK plug.

PLEASE NOTE - if you order this item for delivery to a country outside the UK, it will need to be shipped by courier because of its weight, and we may need to contact you regarding the cost of shipping it to your country. If you are in North America where the voltage is only 110 volts, then you will also need a step up voltage converter, to convert 110 Volts to 240 Volts. If you do not have one of these, we have sourced a high quality converter, which you can add to your order.
