These cards are also known as Random Dot Ortho- and Pseudoscopic Lenticular Stereograms, and have been specially commissioned by Grand Illusions. They show an arrangement of dots in 3-D space, after the work of Bela Julesz in his book 'Foundations of Cyclopean Vision' (Chicago 1971) from which the now familiar MAGIC EYE pictures were developed. These are completely new, and are not like the traditional lenticular cards, where the picture only moves when you move the card. With these cards, you see the image even when the card is still.By means of stereoscopic vision it can be seen that some of the dots lie above a background (or below a foreground) array of similar dots. We have chosen the image G-I (for Grand Illusions!)I LOVE the cards! ... Everyone I share them with is astounded. They are very well produced, high quality items ... You are to be commended... WH, FloridaImagine an endless array, randomly arranged, of Smarties (or M&Ms). Above the sweets is a plate of glass, and on the glass there are a few sweets arranged in a pattern. Using both eyes, you will be able to perceive the difference in depth between the design and the background, and the pattern will be visible. Close one eye and the effect will disappear. However if you move your point of view you will see the design. There are three cards in the pack. In the first card, the G-I design lies above (Orthoscopic) the field of random dots, and in the second card, the design lies below it. Close one eye and the pattern disappears, but will reappear if you tilt the card. The third card has no 3-D information present to reveal the design until you rotate it just a few degrees clockwise or anticlockwise. The letters will then rise above the surface of the card or sink below it. Tilting it up and down causes the G-I design to race across the card in spectacular fashion.Of course our video cannot show the full 3-D effect, it just shows the image moving when you tilt the card. But it gives you a slight idea as to the final effect. Write a review about: Floating Image CardsAsk a question about: Floating Image CardsPeople who bought this item also bought:
