Although this looks identical to the Rising Golden Ball, this is a simpler mechanism (and much cheaper!) which allows the golden ball to fall down the thread, and also to stop at any point that you determine.

As the thread passes through the golden ball, there is an internal bend, so when you slightly pull your hands apart, the ball will stop.
