Down The Rabbit Hole Glass

This unusual glass is hand made specially for Grand Illusions, and was inspired by a television programme presented by the chef Heston Blumenthal. By sipping through the glass tube, you drink from the bottom of the glass.

As well as running his Michelin starred restaurant The Fat Duck, chef Heston Blumenthal has created a series of amazing 'feasts' which have been shown on Channel 4 Television, here in the UK. One of his recent programmes was a Victorian feast, based around Alice in Wonderland.

You can find the complete menu for the meal here.

The first item was an amazing drink, which was suppsed to recreate the sensation of falling down the rabbit hole. As you sipped the drink, which was entirely pink, your tastebuds experienced one taste sensation after another. Very disorientating! Watch the video clip.

Alternatively you can see the whole programme.
