Spinning Tops

The Doodle Top is a spinning top that leaves a trace showing where it has been!

The central spindle is a pencil, and when you spin the top on a sheet of paper, the pencil writes a pattern on the paper. The top is supplied with a pencil, but it is a simple push fit, and you can put any pencil or pen (if it is a similar thickness to a pencil) in the top.

Ideally the surface the top is spinning on should be slightly sloping.

The top comes with a little stand to pop it in when it is not spinning. Largely made of wood, the top also has a metal core, to give it more momentum when spinning.
