There is a 5X optical zoom lens, allowing for magnifications from 26X to 130X (at VGA resolution on a 14" monitor).The microscope comes in a smart presentation box, and includes 1 prepared slide and 3 blank slides, a pipette and tweezers. Plus the required software, which comes on a CD-ROM.There is a specimen stage, but if you wish, the microscope can be unclipped from this, and placed on any flat surface, in order to view it under magnification.On top of the microscope is a button, which allows you to take a snapshot of whatever image you are looking at.
