Chattering of Starlings
A most unusual object this - in fact definitely a WIF! (A What's It For?) You open the smart wooden presentation box, and inside you see a very odd looking device indeed. A collection of rubber tubes, joined together at one end. Lift it out of the box and you may get a clue - as you move it, you may hear a little squeak from one of the rubber tubes, each of which has a little whistle device at the end. Most people will still be very puzzled as to what it is though...
However when you hold one end in your hand and twist to and fro, the mysterious object comes to life, and creates the noise of a chattering group of starlings.
