Candle Stirling Engine

The Candle Stirling Engine Kit allows you to build your own Stirling Engine.

This medium temperature Stirling engine is powered by the heat of a tealight candle (included). It is very suitable for an easy and quick demonstration of the basic thermodynamic "working" of a hot air engine and is great fun to assemble.

The kit is packed within a box that will be used as the engine's housing. It includes all necessary parts (about 150) to assemble the engine and the candle rack. No gluing is required. Only common hand tools are used. It will take between 1 and 2 hours to construct.

The kit is about 100mm across, and 250mm high.

Once constructed, it will run at 300-600 rpm. A single candle gives a running time of 3-4 hours.
