Antigravity Platform - New Model
Welcome to the Levitron World Stage Antigravity Globe and Platform System!
Some years ago, the amazing Levitron appeared. This toy used magnetic levitation to suspend a small spinning top in mid air. However once the top stopped spinning, it stopped levitating. However with the new Antigravity Platform you can levitate an object indefinitely!
The base unit is mains powered. Once it is switched on, you can suspend the supplied globe in mid air, above the platform. It will hover nearly an inch above the platform. Once suspended, it will slowly rotate!
However there is more.... if you open the globe, you will find a magnetic disc inside. You can suspend this disc above the platform, and then balance an object of your choice on the disc. You are limited to items weighing no more than 3 ounces, and levitation may not work properly if the item is made of iron or any other magnetic material, since it may interfere with the magnetic field between the base and the magnetic disc.
With the original model, it could take a little practice in order to get the globe levitating. However we now stock the new version, which comes with a plastic tube which helps you to get the globe levitating immediately. Beam me up, Scotty!
The base is 18.5cm square.
PLEASE NOTE- this item comes with a mains lead that terminates in a UK 3 pin plug that contains a transformer. However we can supply an adaptor that will convert this to the two flat pins that are used in countries like the US, or two round pins that are used in Europe.
