Anamorphic images are pictures that are distorted, and need to be viewed in a certain way for them to appear correctly. (See the Grand Illusions articles about Jean de Dinterville and Julian Beever.) These are both examples of images that need to be viewed from a certain angle.A different example of an anamorphic image is one that needs to be viewed using a cylindrical or sometimes a conical mirror - these mirrors are known as Anamorphoscopes. This Anamorphic Kit consists of 24 anamorphic images, printed on card, and each measuring 21cm x 21cm. The kit also contains two anamorphic mirrors (or anamorphoscopes), one cylindrical and one conical, all contained in a large box (24cm x 35cm x 7cm).This type of anamorphic image was developed in China and brought to Europe in the 16th century. During the 17th and 18th centuries, this technology was used to distribute erotic images, scenes of sorcery, and carictures to a private audience. The images supplied in this kit however do not fall into any of these 'unsuitable' categories!Philip Kent has produced a piece of free software called 'Anamorph Me!' which can be used to create your own anamorphic images. You can access it here.Watch the video...Write a review about: Anamorphic KitAsk a question about: Anamorphic KitPeople who bought this item also bought:
